Exterior Aircraft Search

Course Overview

This course is designed to equip staff who are solely* responsible for searching and/or checking the exterior areas of aircraft and cargo aircraft with the knowledge and skills to undertake these duties competently and confidently.

*Staff with broader responsibilities associated with airport ground security, aircrew security or cargo security should complete the appropriate course.

Course Content 

This course contains the following core modules:

• Recognition of Firearms and Explosives
• Searching / Checking Aircraft (Exterior Areas of Aircraft and Cargo Aircraft (Practical))

 Course Format

The course will be delivered using a combination of classroom instruction, discussions and practical-based training.
