This course is designed to ensure those responsible for making aviation security decisions in response to receipt of a threat can do so in accordance with the UK Department for Transport's (DfT) threat assessment process.

This course will guide participants through the DfT’s Positive Target Identification (PTI) method of assessing whether a threat is credible or otherwise. This tried and trusted system can help you and your team, whatever area of the industry you fit into.
Participants will have the opportunity to benefit from the experience of existing threat assessors and real-life scenarios. Furthermore, the course contains an additional module focused on the decision-making cycle to complement the mandatory syllabus and support threat assessors to make an informed and auditable decision.
