Ground Security Operative (GSO)

Course Overview

This course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply effective aviation security measures, such as controlling access, and the screening and searching of passengers and staff, baggage, airport supplies and aircraft. 

The recurrent course is designed to refresh and update the knowledge of those practicing as GSOs, ensuring awareness of changes to legislation and threats, etc.

Course Format

The GSO will be delivered using a combination of classroom instruction using presentations, discussions, inert training aids, exercises and practical-based training.
